hike-101.jpg hike-102.jpg Saturday, we went on a hike up Mount Erie. On a 'beginner's trail'. Heh... I made it about a third of the way up before I had to turn back, lest I keel over dead.

hike-103.jpg hike-104.jpg I did get a few nice pictures in before I headed back down, though. It was nice and quiet out there.

hike-110.jpg hike-111.jpg Once I got back down, I had a lot of time to wait. The guy who came with me found an easy way to pass the time.

hike-112.jpg hike-113.jpg I spent the time taking more pictures, though. Between the skunk cabbage, small stream, and ample trees, I got a few good ones.

At the top of the mountain

hike-120.jpg hike-121.jpg Later, our guide, Garrett, ran down the mountain (!) and, barely winded, let us know we could drive up and meet them at the top. D'oh!

hike-122.jpg hike-123.jpg We had a bit more company at the top of the mountain than at the bottom. A number of people were climbing it. Have I mentioned I'm a little acrophobic? :)

hike-124.jpg hike-125.jpg The view was spectacular, though. Next year, I'm going to make it all the way up the mountain without vehicular assistance.
