Power
Sometimes I feel that all I need do is reach out,
And I can take the world in hand.
And change it.
Shape it.
Save it.
But I am afraid.
What if I make a mistake?
What if I fail?
What if I destroy it?
They say that power corrupts,
And absolute power corrupts absolutely.
But I think they're wrong.
It's not corruption.
It's fear.
Fear of responsibility.
Like a tight-rope walker;
Like a pilot;
One mistake is disaster.
Like a human to an ant,
Is my power to the Earth.
What if I step on it when I'm not looking?
